So I made a promise to myself that I would start doing this. riding the bike. I got a frame pump and this grocery bag today. I just have to get a couple of clamps for the rack to go on the trek. Then I am basically set. Next will be street tires, instead of the knobbies, and then a pair of pedals that have clips on them, instead of my Time ATAC pedals. I know I have a pair of them lying around here, I saw them recently. Just have to go find them in the storage rooms i think, since they are not in my back room.
And then, I will do it. Start by taking a wee trip to the convenience store. then to the grocery store, and then to post office. I will do it.
started raining this afternoon, and no walk. This sucks. I’ll go push some weights on the machine… tomorrow morning I am WALKING!
yes, I walked yesterday, Thursday. for 15 minutes. It started to rain, and I am not about to get sick from walking. Today I’ll go walk at the track at the end of the day, it’s lighted. I just have to focus on work and I am already in that mode today… so….
The morning flitted away so fast, then it was time to take Jed to his surgery. I spent the waiting time on Ocean Beach’s boardwalk, but it is half closed for last minute maintenance, and it was just not conducive to walk in small circles. so. 7 minute walk, 45 minute sit on bench watching the beach and the people there.

yeah, just feeling kinda good. 4 days in a row now. trimmed another minute off of the total time. felt real good. I did go out later than yesterday and Sunday. I was always better at things “athletic” in the afternoon, and maybe that was kicking in. Had steady laps too. which is a matter of focus I guess.
I did go up to the attic and checked out the old gym, still works. Tomorrow I may do some work on it, and give the heel a rest. It was great this morning, but now it is screaming at me. Matter of fact, I felt pretty pain free this morning. Unusual these days. So we’ll just have to see in the morning.
I am hunkering down and doing some work today. I did go with lauren to the herb farm, and bought a few goodies. Dill, rosemary, hot and spicy oregano, says it is greek oregano, and a red sage plant. We now have to decide where the herb garden will be located. And hope that the deer in the neighborhood are trailer trash and don’t like fine dining.
I actually got it in. Real windy, overcast, supposed to rain, but I got it in. Even trimmed over a minute off yesterday’s time. Last lap was fastest. 26:39. not too bad. I had two laps where the fronts of my calfves were tight, I just slowed down. After first two fast laps, I was on pace to make the goal, and have to add a lap. so naturally, I slowed down. LOL. nah.. just that legs sorta hurt.
So tomorrow I walk again. I had a nice lunch of scrambled eggs, mushrooms and onions. One coffee this AM. I’ll shower in a bit, and then this afternoon go to grocery store and buy some wholesome foods.
yeah, I forced myself to do it again this morning. Walked 5 laps again. Slightly faster, but that is of no concern, the time. When I get to doing 5 laps in under 22 minutes, then I will add a lap. That is goal one. adding a lap to do in the same amount of time as day one. and I’ll post at each 5 pound loss interval. That way there are plenty of mini goals. I’ll be looking at getting some sort of exercycle in the near future. and those weights upstairs are getting used tomorrow, cuz if it is raining in the AM, I think I will not walk. No need to catch cold. It was a bit breezy, but very clear and sunny. chilly too. nice May day.
Now to get some damned work done.
Went for a walk this morning, after I took Jed to work. Walked the track in the park, 5 laps. no idea how long one lap is. It took 28 minutes. My goal was 5 laps. I want to lose 25 pounds by my birthday. I can do this. No problem. I’l try to walk again tomorrow if my heel is not too too bad. Feels OK now. We’ll see. I am getting no relief but for a few minutes after the chiro/naturepath does his thing, and htat was yesterday morning. I know it is the weight, so this has got to go even if it hurts. Can’t lose weight without some sort of workout, soooooooooo got to do it.
