big push

this week has to be a big push here. Have to finish the author site, get site done for Christian by 15th so need to git that going, and have to get site for the hog guy, second concept and push him along. The Cheryl is going to have an ecommerce set up to do, and Kay is shipping me one as well. both I think next week, so I have to get the work all done that is on tap this week. but after that stuff, I have no new sites to do. well, maybe one, nope, two. So I can start those right after Thanksgiving. Have a few queries out there also, have to go follow up on those. Looking like a good Nov/Dec, not too much stress, not overloaded with work. a good thing.

its be colds outside

there is alot of frost outside this morning, I’ll try to get a shot before it melts. letting the dog out made my feet cold, no slippers.
anyway, have to head back to parents today, their cable was out yesterday. Started on Saturday. They called company yesterday. Did they think to call me and not have me come up? ha. So, I go back. Sigh. a break during the day that I do not need. Oh well.

Got nothing done at all this weekend well, a bit of maintenance stuff. Need to get at least ONE concept done for that hog guy. it is making me crazy! Then one for the author. and get catering done, and get christian’s concepts done. Man!!!

ok, off to start my workday.

clean clothes dried by god

just pulled in my laundry that got left out overnight. It was nice. Some damp t-shirts are out on the porch line. But as I brought them in, I said to mike “ahhhh you’ll be wearing shirts dried by god” I thought that was cool. As I put his shirts on hangars and then into the closet, I could smell them. So fresh and wonderful. Truly the smell was made by god to get us to use clotheslines

Not what I am using, I am doing the two rollers, out to my tree that I had to climb up on yesterday. But still, an alternative to sucking down electricity and saving you some cash

solar clothes dryer

finally after asking various house partners to help me put up a clothesline, over the almost 20 years I have lived in this house, I had enough and I put it up myself. yes, motivated by the sharp rise in my electricity costs these past few months, and also by the fact that my dryer has seen better days, and should be reserved for emergencies only. They can get used to washing clothes on a nice day. and hanging them out.

I am going to go to store and get the last remaining part I need to do parents cable internet install and then get my ass working on this effin design. needs to gets its done tonight!

oh man

I got some done. not much done. but well, I did join sierra club today. feel good about that. joined trout unlimited as well. a day to join things I guess.

Now, maybe do some work?

hmm I think i will keep running updates on today’s progress in the blog. First off is visit to bathroom to take shower, then to post office to get mail, then to bank to deposit check, then back here by 10:30 am. yah….

today I conquer the world

or at least the nemesis of my motivation monster. Will get the new caterer done and ready to go today, and will have at least one concept for the hog guy. plus diva’s site finalized.
Getting new caterer off the plate will allow room for old caterer to come back on schedule, and give me room to get the author started.
crap, gotta write proposal this AM crap.

ah yes, it is friday, a holiday weekend and if that matters to a solopreneur

no. just that you have an excuse to not reply to emails for an extra day. “It’s a holiday”

and so, with that, I dive into my work for the day, yes, almost noontime but hell, it’s better than not diving in.

union a go-go

Met with Hartford carpenters union local 43. going to do a site for them. drove to hartford, beautiful day, hot. Just have to write the proposal over the weekend. yippppeeeee more work!

why do i do this?

oh, yeah. to eke out a living. so, I go to hartford tomorrow to Bill’s union, and talk to them on a site. More work. cool. Should be a good one. Not a rush job though which is even better. So… I have to get Diva done too… and Bourasa I hope by end of next week. And rivervine, gotta get goin on that. So… am I stressed yet? nope. I can be stressed when I am 80 and not able to work and with no retirement plan. good.
