Yeah, the required corndog and beer. Then a pretzel and beer. Then cheesesteak and beer. I love ballpark food. We are going to go down for playoff game, and I’ll try some sushi and some pulled pork. Yum

We went to yankee stadium yesterday. Under threatening skies. Got there I’d say about 4:30ish. Yeah it rained. And yes we stayed. And ate. And left in the 6th since it was past 10pm. Missed Cano’s grand slam :( .
Still recovering. On the road, somewhere.

Did a ride in Pachaug forest. Nice day. Crisp, clear. Felt good to be on the bike again. But street tires are not meant for offroad, and can barely handle dirt/gravel/sand forest roads. Guess they will have to do for now, since setting up two bikes is a bit too much for the budget. Now the plan is to get out there 2-3 times a week to ride until the snow falls. I will try for Wednesday morning.
Yeah, got that little wobble in the legs now. It’s going to be a long road back to fitness. On the road, somewhere.

The dwarf sunflower is growing. The resident deer have been too busy stuffing themselves with acorns, so have ignored these guys. It has to be a seed left over from last year’s flowers, as nothing was planted this year with all the turmoil in my life. So it grows. Looks good. Even after the sun has gone behind the trees/garage. Sweet

It is! But I keep wandering back to thinking of Jed, sitting in a cell. I hurt so much for him. So very much. I miss texting him that his mom loved him, randomly during the day. I miss the random visit just to say hi, and the hello and goodbye hug he gave me every time. It’s going to be years before I can have that hug again. And that hurts so deep. Not onbly will Jed be a scarred person the rest of his life, I will be as well. It is as if my life ended on that day. But it is a very nice day outside today.

A small sunflower that divided after deer chewed main stalk. Possibly re-seeded from last year’s giants. Hybrid plant seeds are never as good as “save and plant next year”. Next spring I am going whole hog on gardens. I have missed planting and keeping a garden so much. I had planned on doing one this year, but life sorta blindsided me with tons of shit. I am digging out and after I get thru my usual October “shit always happens this month”, I’ll start a garden plan. Yah

They played the last game in the stadium Wednesday nite. Defenders
lost in game two of the championship series, Said there were 4000 at
the game. Not likely, unless they guessed at all the skyboxes being
filled. More like 2000 were there. It was a good game, they came from
behind to tie it late, then had to rally again in the bottom of the
9th, and fell one run short. One little bloop single would have
brought the runner home from third. Sad. Sad. Will miss it alot, it
was a great thing to just go do on a summer evening. unfortunately not
many “baseball” fans wanted to drive up to the I-park. Like it was
SUCH a hardship for them. geesus. Now there will REALLY not be
anything to do in the area, outside of the stinkin casinos. Sad. I did
my part, going to at least 6 games a year. Even over the past 4 years
when they really sucked. This year they were good. Still the fickle
area RedSux fans sat on their asses at home and complained that the
prices were too much for the food (bullshit) and it was too tough to
get there (bullshit) and that the team was farm for San Francisco, so
no interest in the players (bullshit) These days players get shopped
around all the time, and one of them could wind up on the Sux team.
Last year’s Cy Young winner in NL went through Norwich. The SF speedy
guy Velez came thru. Fair weather baseball fans, only interested in
their team, not in the sport itself. wannabees.
Ok enough ranting. I guess I’ll have to figure out how to get to New
Britain’s ballpark next year. Go RockCats! uggh
